Kate's 12 month check up

Kate had her 12 month check up last week. She weighs a whopping....

14 pounds 11 ounces!!!

That puts her at, ohhh, maybe -20th percentile on the growth chart! I'm not sure exactly, but she's way below 0! She is 28 inches tall, so in the 25th percentile for height. She's just such a little squirt! Her Dr has her on a supplement called Duocal for added calories. She also has to be on soy milk now that I've officially weaned her a week ago (YAY!!) because she's allergic to dairy. But she's meeting her milestones pretty close to on time, and she is healthy and happy as can be. She's not quite walking yet. She'll take a few steps then get scared and sit down. Little Stinker! :)

Kids definatly do things at their own pace. It is hard to put them on charts because they are all so different. She may just be a petite little girl, heaven knows that is what we all wish we were!!!! ;) Conner wouldn't walk or crawl until he was 13 months old! Spoiled! :)

Wow she is so tiny, but as long as she is healthy that is all that matters. Besides size doesnt matter. My three month old, little chunker, is almost 13 lbs.

Landen was probably 14 lbs on his one month check up!Our kids are totally on opposite sides of the charts, but you are not big yourself! I would love to have a petite little girl but don't think it is in my genes. I agree though, the charts really don't matter they are just comparing them to the average child, as long as they are healthy and happy. Landen is doing the same thing with the walking, maybe we need to get together and see if they can encourage each other:)!

She's a little cutie pie! Tiny just like Kyah (Brandy's baby girl). Both of my kids were tankers so they hit 14 lbs at like 2 or 3 months old....I would think she was a new born still by holding her. :o) Love ya!
